CAIMed Meet-Up: Clinical decision support and its statistical evaluation: What, how, and why?

Our recent Meet-ups have once again highlighted the value of interdisciplinary exchange, and we are pleased to continue this series with the upcoming CAIMed Meet-Up: Clinical Decision Support and Its Statistical Evaluation: What, How, and Why?

This Meet-Up will feature three expert talks addressing key methodological, statistical, and ethical foundations of clinical decision support systems and artificial intelligence in medicine. Julia Böhnke will present insights and methods from the ELISE project, focusing on diagnostic test accuracy estimation in longitudinal settings. Björn Laabs will discuss statistical properties required for useful and efficient clinical decision support systems, highlighting methodological considerations for reliability and practical implementation. Mehul Bhatt will present on responsible AI foundations for next-generation neurocognitive technologies, addressing conceptual, ethical, and technological perspectives.

In addition, the program will include a poster session showcasing current research projects and ongoing work in clinical decision support, AI in medicine, and related statistical methodologies. The poster session will provide an opportunity for discussion, networking, and interdisciplinary exchange among participants.

We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming CAIMed Meet-up on 02 March 2026 – 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at CRC Clinical Research Center Hannover (MHH), Feodor-Lynen-Str. 15, 30625 Hannover (maps link).
